In the eve of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays the minister of labour and social policy Biser Petkov and his deputies participated in the charity initiative “Donate a smile to a child”, organized by the ministry. During the week preceding Christmas, they visited institutions for children deprived of parental care and family-type centres for children and young people all over the country to present Christmas presents to their disciples.
“I feel happy that in the eve of these bright holidays I am among the children of the “Constantsa Lyapcheva” home in Dolna Banya and among the people taking care of them”, minister Petkov said, thanking the mayor and the municipal leadership for the municipality’s activity in the social service provision and their considerable number. Minister Petkov greeted the children with the coming holidays and wished them good health, happiness and plenty of smiles. “I wish you to have dreams and to make them come true. Be good friends, help each other, study persistently and you will be successful in your life”, the minister told the children.
Deputy minister Rositsa Dimitrova visited institutions for children deprived of parental care in Plovdiv and in the village of Razliv, Pravets municipality. She wished them to believe in miracles not only on Christmas and to approach every goal of theirs with overwhelming desire and with all their hearts.
Christmas presents and tons of good mood accompanied the visit of deputy minister Sultanks Petrova in the institution for children deprived of parental care in Stara Zagora. She brought presents and treats to the kids. Dr. Sultanka Petrova thanked the people who take care of the children and assured them she is their true friend. “It was a pleasure for me to meet the children in person and the heroine Maria Stoilova who saved a human life last year in particular”, Dr. Petrova said.
Deputy minister Zornitsa Rusinova brought presents to the children in two family-type centres in Blagoevgrad. She examined the3 conditions that the children live in after the deinstitutionalization process and explained that the Ministry of labour and social policy is trying to secure life close to the family environment to all children.
Deputy minister Lazar Lazarov visited the institution for children deprived of parental care in Vratsa. He wished the children health and luck and explained to them the opportunities to use service for job placement after they leave the institution.
The charity initiative of the Ministry of labour and social policy will continue till the end of the week.
