Prevention of violence against children should start in early age. This is a priority in child policy and our main objective is not to allow risks that could damage their physical or psychological health, said the deputy minister of labour and social policy Rositsa Dimitrova at a round table discussion on the topic of “Children in the digital world: how to prevent and control online sexual abuse of children", organized by SACP.

Dimitrova emphasized that the coordination between the Ministry of labour and social policy, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Education and Science for handling violence against children is starting to prove its effectiveness.  In 2016 the Social Assistance Agency and its territorial structures worked on 1000 cases of violence in various perspectives, the deputy minister clarified.
