Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy Sultanka Petrova met with Sylvain Giguère, head of Division at the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and Local Development. 

The meeting involved exchange of ideas for co-operation in the field of social entrepreneurship and the social economy. 

Sylvain Giguère outlined the guidelines applied by the OECD, and in particular the LEED programme, in the areas of employment, entrepreneurship and the social economy. In turn, Deputy Minister Petrova acquainted her guest with the social economy policy in Bulgaria and the future plans for its development.

Bulgaria's priorities for the Council of EU Presidency were highlighted with an emphasis on the social economy and social entrepreneurship and the options to involve the OECD in the preparation and implementation of the high-level conference on the social economy.
