Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy Zornitsa Rusinova presented to the diplomatic representatives of EU Member States in Bulgaria the priorities in the field of employment and social policy of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. "The highlights and priorities of the programme within the competence of the MLSP are the promotion of entrepreneurship, job creation and investments in the future," Deputy Minister Rusinova said. She pointed out that there are four priority topics in the areas of employment, labour mobility and social policy - the future of work, strengthening the social dimension of Europe, early childhood development policies and integrating people with disabilities as full members of society.
A planned high-level conference on 21 and 22 March 2018 will discuss the vision of the future of work, Ms Rusinova said. The debate will develop in four areas - industrial relations, new skills for work and entrepreneurship in the context of Europe 2020, labour mobility and equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
The Deputy Minister said that there will be further support to improve employment opportunities, strengthen social inclusion, combat poverty, promote education, skills and lifelong learning. "A key priority is the development of the opportunities for full exercise of all rights and freedoms by people with disabilities without any discrimination," the Deputy Minister said.
Ms Rusinova also presented to the diplomats the main dossiers in the field of employment and social policy, which will be discussed during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. These include the Posting Directive, Regulation 883 on the coordination of social security systems and the European Accessibility Act.
