VALENTINA GEORGIEVA CHIKOVA

Head of the Minister's Political Cabinet

Valentina Chikova graduated from the University of National and World Economy as an accountant. She holds a certificate of chartered accountant from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2015 she received a certificate from the Ministry of Finance as an internal auditor in the public sector. Valentina Chikova has been involved in several projects with the United States Agency for International Development, related to capital markets and the integrity of the financial sector.

Since May 2017 Valentina Chikova has been head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy. From March 2014 to May 2017, she was head of the Inspectorate at the National Social Security Institute. From 2003 to 2013 she worked at the Financial Supervision Commission, consecutively occupying the position of head of the Remote Control Department at the Social Security Supervision Directorate, director of the Social Security Supervision Directorate and director of the Investment Activity Supervision Directorate.
